NEUROLOGY HEALTH SERVICES RESEARCH
Dr. Skolarus is a member of the neurology health services research team. Her primary interests are in access to care, particularly post-acute care, and racial health disparities. She serves as the Vice-Chair of the Minority Affairs Committee of the American Heart Association, and the Chair of the American Neurological Association’s Health Services Research Special Interest Group. She has participated in projects exploring the value of neurology, the neurology workforce including their Medicare payment, and over-utilization of neurologic imaging. She is also studying racial disparities in post-stroke disability using Medicare data and date from the National Health and Aging Trends Study.
